Finding new ways to develop their practice and subject knowledge virtually
Simone tells how the children of her reading group of schools from in and around Shewsbury all have their own library cards and visit the SLS to choose books for their classes. Teachers also are expanding their knowledge of genres beyond their own personal repertoire.
Shenaz reports that her TRG had 35 members in their first year as an OU/UKLA TRG and they concentrated on developing 'teachers' knowledge of children's literature and other texts. This year they have 60 people wishing to attend which has meant setting up a TRG group in Kettering led by Gemma Gilespi.
